# What you’ll need:

→ Pita Chips

01 - 4 large pita breads
02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
05 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

→ Tzatziki

06 - 1 cup Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
07 - 1/2 large cucumber, grated and excess moisture removed
08 - 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
09 - 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
10 - 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
11 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
12 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
13 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

# Steps:

01 - Set oven temperature to 400°F and allow to preheat fully.
02 - Slice each pita bread into 8 uniform wedges.
03 - Place pita triangles on a baking sheet in a single layer. Brush all sides with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with sea salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika as desired.
04 - Bake pita chips for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp. Remove from oven and let cool.
05 - Combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
06 - Transfer tzatziki to the refrigerator for a minimum of 10 minutes to enhance flavors.
07 - Arrange cooled pita chips alongside the chilled tzatziki for serving.

# Cooking tips:

01 -
  • Crunchy pita chips are irresistibly easy to make and always disappear fast at any gathering.
  • The creamy tzatziki is refreshing, making these perfect for warm afternoons or beach days.
02 -
  • If you don’t squeeze out the cucumber after grating, the tzatziki turns watery and loses its rich creaminess.
  • Brushing the pita with oil on both sides is crucial—skipping this step means missing that signature crunch.
03 -
  • Don’t rush baking—watching for the perfect golden color is the difference between crisp and burnt.
  • A final drizzle of olive oil over the tzatziki before serving adds a touch of elegance and extra flavor.
