# Cooking tips:

01 -
  • It comes together in under 20 minutes and tastes like you spent way more effort on it.
  • The creamy avocado makes it feel indulgent without any mayo or heavy dressing.
  • You can prep the chicken ahead and just toss everything when you're ready to eat.
  • It works as a standalone meal, stuffed in lettuce wraps, or piled on toast.
02 -
  • If your avocados aren't perfectly ripe, the salad will taste flat and the texture won't be creamy enough.
  • Don't dress the salad more than an hour before serving or the avocado will start to brown and the vegetables will get soggy.
  • If you're making this ahead, keep the dressing separate and toss everything together right before you eat.
03 -
  • Squeeze a little extra lime juice over the avocado right after you dice it to slow down browning.
  • Use kitchen shears to snip the herbs directly into the bowl, it's faster and you don't lose any flavor on the cutting board.
  • Taste the salad after you dress it and adjust the salt, lime, or pepper as needed, every batch is a little different.
